Today I am releasing Planner App: a planning tool built to help people turn good intentions into clear measurable progress.
Planner App is designed around a simple idea; Prioritising what matters when it matters. Kind of like the old ‘right place at the right time’ philosophy but applied to tasks and projects.

Planning works better when it is tied to a defined time window. Instead of keeping one endless task list, the app helps you work inside named periods of your choosing. You can define plan periods as a week, a month, or any custom date range. Within each period, you can organise projects, add tasks, select a weight category for tasks (based on the Eisenhower matrix), mark important outcomes as deliverables, and see how much meaningful work you actually completed in each period with built-in analytics. You can export your data in real-time via the simple API interface, and set alerts sent to Telegram you remind you of important daily tasks.
### Plan work by period
You can create planning periods for whatever rhythm suits you best: weekly, monthly, or custom. One period is active at a time, which keeps the app focused on what matters now. When a period ends, the historical record stays intact, and the current planning context remains clear. The analytics tell you how you performed in each period and how many tasks have been carried over to the next period.

### Organise tasks by project
Inside each period, projects act as board columns. You can create separate spaces for different areas of work, then add tasks under each one. This gives the app a simple visual structure that is easy to maintain. I built it this way to manage different areas of life as ‘projects’ recognising managing tasks and responsibilities across diverse areas of life is complex. Planner app provides a single glance cross-board view.

### Prioritise the work that matters most
Each task can be marked as Important + Urgent, Important, Urgent, or Low Priority. These are not just labels. Planner App uses them as part of its scoring system so higher-value work carries more weight in your results. You are rewarded for completing meaningful work, not just for checking off the easiest tasks.

### Track deliverables, not just activity
Tasks can also be marked as deliverables and assigned to custom deliverable types. For example, you can could track outputs such as assignments completed, or just about anything, the interface lets you create custom deliverables to suit your goals. The analytics area then shows how many of those deliverables were achieved in a given period.

### Edit the present, protect the past
Planner App keeps historical periods read-only once they are closed, and only the current active period can be edited. That means your analytics are based on a stable record instead of data that keeps changing after the fact. Past performance remains trustworthy, so trends and comparisons are more meaningful.

### See your performance clearly
The Analytics area shows total tasks, completed tasks, planned score, achieved score, remaining score, deliverable counts, and a performance view across periods. This gives you both a quick snapshot of the current period and a broader view of how your planning is improving over time.
### Export your own metrics
You can generate your own API key and access export endpoints for period performance and deliverable data. This makes it possible to connect Planner App to dashboards, spreadsheets, or other reporting tools. It’s your data, you deserve full access.

### Stay connected with Telegram Alerts
Planner App also includes optional Telegram alerts. You can connect Telegram and receive a daily reminder containing open Important + Urgent tasks across projects.

## Choose from multiple themes
Choose app background theme to suit your style. Personally I quite like the matrix-style look.

##A planner built for reflection as well as action
Planner App is for people who want more than a place to dump tasks. It is for people who want to plan intentionally, focus on high-value work, and understand what they are actually getting done from one period to the next.
This public pre-release is an important milestone. The app now brings together structured planning, weighted progress tracking, deliverable reporting, exportable metrics, and optional reminders in one focused system. If you want a planner that helps you do the work, Planner App is ready to use.
##Keeping It simple
There are tons of to-do apps already available. Over the years I have tried many and never really found one that gave me the structure, control and simplicity I was looking for in a productivity tool. Planner App does not do bells and whistles, neither does it integrate fancy AI that attempts to anticipate what you actually want. There is no paywall for functionality and no data gate-keeping.
I will add a early-release email sign-up form soon so keep checking if this project interests you.
